Curley Visits Laporte is a story of a long weekend spent in Laporte, PA, with his Uncle Bob and Aunt Nancy. It is the fire company’s carnival weekend, and Curley enjoys the parade, games, food, and fireworks. He visits the firehouse and learns about being an emergency medical technician and firefighter.
Laporte is the county seat of Sullivan County, one of Pennsylvania's most rural counties. The population is about 300 year-round, but swells in the summer when cottage owners return to Lake Mokoma.
The book is a 36-page, full-color hardback, limited edition of 100 copies. All the proceeds from the sale of the books will benefit the Laporte Volunteer Fire Company
